You remember the recent “Cash for Clunkers” auto bail-out program, where you traded in your old, but still useful, car for a new, more efficient model.
Well, President Obama and the Democratic congress is planning something similar in their, so called, health care reform.
I think they should call it “Cash for Geezers”, as in old geezers, or [...]

If you do a Google News search for “Jesus and health care” your results will show dozens of articles where Democrats, both political and media types, are now professing their Christianity and injecting Jesus into the health care debate by saying Jesus favors health care, Jesus would vote yes for public option, Jesus would prefer [...]

March 10th was the National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers. I am so sorry I missed it, but I want to make up for my lack of attention to such an important occasion by offering my own thoughts on how to honor these humble and caring souls.
I do believe that abortionists have been under appreciated for far [...]

I am a scheduled adorer at the St. Catherine of Sienna Parish Adoration Chapel in Orange Park, Florida. At the sign-in table there is a prayer petition book for those desiring to add a special prayer request. All adorers are encouraged to read the prayer requests and join their prayers with those needs written in [...]

Euphemism-
“An agreeable word (abortion) or expression substituted for one (in this case a picture-see below) that is potentially offensive… for example; The Nazis used euphemism in referring to their plan to murder the world’s Jews as ‘the Final Solution.’”
How Ironic that this Nazi holocaust example was actually used to further clarify the definition.
Taken from the American Heritage® New Dictionary [...]

Moms and Dads, the following narrative will make you chuckle, but I ask that you not ignore the truths that are contained within. You are the parent, not a peer. You must make the hard decisions even if the children may hate you for making them. Persevere for their sake. You can be their friend [...]

So much outrage by so many over fewer than 100 criminal executions per year in the U.S.
How many are silent, or don’t care, when it comes to the execution of the unborn? Where is the outrage for the 1.3 million babies killed in the womb each year in the U.S. and for the 46 million killed [...]

I wish you all the very best Merry Christmas.
It is time to give credit where credit is due. If there were no Christmas, there would be no Happy Holidays for there would be no holiday at all: no time off work; no Christmas parades; no beautiful decorations, no family traditions, no glorious music, nothing to [...]

The following is a sermon by St. Bernard from the early 12th century. He clearly explains how Christians would be unable to say “yes” to Jesus if the Virgin Mary of the Gospels had not done so first.
For you non-Catholics, have no fear, by reading this you will not have to become Catholic. However, you will [...]

(Now ladies, if you are going to read this, there is a message for you at the bottom of the post.)
An airline flight attendant picks up the intercom and begins to speak to the passengers: “Ladies and gentlemen,” the voice is cracking and hesitant, “the captain has asked that I reassure you not to worry [...]

A few days ago the New York Times, AP, and other news sources ran articles about a PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) undercover operation at a West Virginia turkey farm, allegedly documenting cruelty to turkeys. They made a video and, if you are interested, you can find it on You Tube. Be warned, [...]

For the last 40 years the U.S. Catholic Bishops, to a great extent, have ignored the elephant in the room. The problems have now compounded to the point that it takes two elephants to carry the load. However, it appears that the bishops have finally seen the elephants and have garnered the courage to tackle some of the problems. Just [...]
