About…hmm?

About this blog and me…

In 1Pet3:15 we read: Always be prepared to make a defense to any one who calls you to account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence;.

Let not your heart be troubled, I will pen no exegesis (I had to look that up) about Jesus or anything else within these pages. I am not an exegsis kind of guy. For to plumb the depths of my fertile mind will take you no deeper than that seed cast upon the rocky ground in the parable of the sower found in each of the first three gospels. However, I will guarantee you a good dose of encouragement in areas of faith, family and life, and perhaps a chuckle now and then. It is my hope that you may even learn something along the way.

Saying that is not to say that other contributors, who post here from time to time, will not challenge your intellectual prowess. It just won’t be my posts.

Most of you do not know me but it goes without saying that I am no genius. However, I married a genius and that should say something about me — but I don’t want any comments about what that something might be.

So, occasionally you will get her words of wisdom, practical advice and truly beneficial insight but I am telling you now, the humor will have to come from me. If her posts, in any way, make you chuckle, it’s because I edited it that way.

Now, a very brief rest of the story.

I am a husband, married thirty-six years, father of four, youngest still in college, grandfather of ten. I have been self-employed since 1985, and I am a Clockmaker by trade.  I am a former Special Operations C-130 pilot for the U.S. Air Force and a graduate of Florida State University. I grew up primarily in South Florida.

I have had a computer in the home since 1988 and have seen the Internet’s “dark side” grow ever darker through the years. Because of my own grandchildren I realized the need for Internet Safety materials aimed at parents. For the last five years I have been writing Internet Safety materials and developing the website, www.kidsafecyberspace.com

Enjoy, and Take Courage My Friend.
