You remember the recent “Cash for Clunkers” auto bail-out program, where you traded in your old, but still useful, car for a new, more efficient model.

Well, President Obama and the Democratic congress is planning something similar in their, so called, health care reform. 

I think they should call it “Cash for Geezers”, as in old geezers, or all you baby boomers and above.

Under this government run health care system the elderly are denied appropriate and timely medical care…and the system saves money. They won’t spend (waste) their money on us old geezers. A penny saved is a penny earned.

This is the reality in Canada, Great Britain, France, and probably every other country with socialized medicine. It is inevitable.

Continuing with the auto/clunker theme, the elderly, which will soon include all the baby boomers, will have no trade-in value, and are too expensive to repair, consequently, relegated to the junk yard (the cemetery).

All the money saved by denying health services to the elderly will now be available for the needs of the more productive members of society.

I don’t know about you, but if I am going to have to kick the bucket, I’d like to put it off as long as possible instead of having some government number cruncher tell me that, for the good of my family and society, I should consider it to be check-out time (euthanasia pill time).

I pray that you old geezers don’t fall for the rhetoric spewing from the health care reform proponents. If you do, it won’t be long before you are former old geezers.
