Merry Christmas, not Happy Holidays

I wish you all the very best Merry Christmas.
It is time to give credit where credit is due. If there were no Christmas, there would be no Happy Holidays for there would be no holiday at all: no time off work; no Christmas parades; no beautiful decorations, no family traditions, no glorious music, nothing to celebrate, and probably no malls (that might not be so bad). So, all of you who cringe at the very words “Merry Christmas,” just get over it. Whether you believe in the theology or not, there is no arguing that the world is a better place because of Christmas.
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas…
Don’t forget first to give thanks to the One who deserves all honor and praise, and teach this to your children. They need to always know the reason for the season.
Take courage, my friend.
